HARDWARE CONFIGURATION

The FHL-7120 has four jumper blocks which are used to configure the board. These switches and jumpers are located as follows.

J1: Test/Normal Mode
J2: Test/Normal Mode
J3: SDLC/HDLC I/O Address
J4: Security Key I/O Address
V.24/RS-232C Signals

J1 - TEST/NORMAL MODE

This jumper sets test or normal mode. When the shunt is installed on the top two pins the adapter is in test mode. When the shunt is installed on the bottom two pins the adapter is in normal mode.

J2 - TEST/NORMAL MODE

This jumper sets test or normal mode. When the shunt is installed on the top two pins the adapter is in test mode. When the shunt is installed on the bottom two pins the adapter is in normal mode.

J3 - SDLC/HDLC I/O ADDRESS

This jumper sets the I/O address for SDLC/HDLC. When the shunt is installed on the top two pins the I/O address range is 380-38F. When the shunt is installed on the bottom two pins the I/O address range is 3A0-3AF.

J4 - SECURITY KEY I/O ADDRESS

This jumper sets the I/O address for the security key. When the shunt is installed on the top two pins there is no access to the security key. When the shunt is installed on the bottom two pins the I/O address range is 390-39F.
