OVERVIEW

The Fraser's Hill FHL-8160 is 100% IBM compatible Micro Channel 16/4 token ring board using the IBM designed and manufactured Token Ring chip.

• 16 bit Micro Channel card.
• National Semiconductor TROPIC (Token Ring Protocol Interface Controller) chip, designed and manufactured by IBM guarantees 100% IBM compatibility.
• 16 Mbps or 4 Mbps Token Ring connectivity, user selectable.
• DB-9 connector for standard Token Ring cabling.
• 64 KB on-board memory.
• Uses the same software drivers as the IBM 16/4 Token Ring adapters.
• Supports all Token Ring connectivity solutions supported by the IBM 16/4 Token Ring adapters.
• Integrated Boot PROM for Remote Program Load (RPL) supports IBM, Novell, Microsoft, and many other Network Operating Systems.
• Socket for add-in Boot PROM for Remote Program Load for Network Operating Systems not supported by the integrated Boot PROM.
• Configuration the same as the IBM Token-Ring Network 16/4 Adapter/A using the same ADF file (@E001.ADF).
